Come check out the Fall colors out in Buck Hill. With Fall fast approaching the woods along Squaw Creek are beginning to show their colors. It’s sure to be a beautiful time of year in Buck Hill Estates.

The first fish has been caught in the Buck Hill Estates pond by a young resident,Cole. The bluegill was caught using a worm on a hook last Saturday. It was reported to be 4†long weighing in at 1.5 oz.’s.  The young fisherman was fishing in 10’ of water from a canoe.

 In June of 2008, 657 Xenia Place on Lot 13 of Buck Hill Estates, was one of eight homes featured in the Ames Parade of Homes. Built by Hanson Homes, Inc., it features 2,680 square feet on the main and second floors, another 817 square feet finished in the walk-out basement, 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and a beautiful view. Check it out in the Homes for Sale page.
Get your fishing poles ready! Well, maybe wait for a couple years, but last Thursday, the pond was stock with 4,500 3/4″ bluegill and 500 2″ channel catfish. They’ll get a head start before the largemouth bass get introduced in the spring.
             
Within the last couple months two new houses have begun construction. Both are custom built homes on the West end of Buck Hill Estates.

On lot 31 they are just starting to frame a large walkout ranch.

The new entrance feature is in! The sign is solid, 4×4 distressed cedar laminated together. Measuring 8’6″ wide x 5’0″ tall, it’s held up by chains and a log formation. The fraser fir trees and multiple flowers and grasses planted above and below the retaining wall compliment the sign.  Drive on out and check it out for youself.
